In 2018, my body called for a complete reset.

After years of chasing careers that didn’t resonate with my soul — grinding in cities, climbing ladders I never wanted to be on — I returned to the islands to rest. Instead, I fell seriously ill. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, a debilitating condition that robbed me of energy, appetite, and control.

For years, I fought for my life — in and out of remission, moving from Hawaii to Miami, looking for healing. But in 2020, everything changed. I collapsed. Emergency surgery followed. My colon was removed, and so was the life I thought I had to live.

It was my second chance — and I wasn’t going to waste it.

Recovery brought clarity. I stopped living the life I was “supposed” to live and started living the one I was born for. I walked the beach every day. I reconnected with nature, art, and purpose. I chose beauty over burnout. Peace over pressure.
